How You Can Help

  • Have you done something to make your home or business more green?
  • Do you live in an apartment and have suggestions for green apartment living? Have you been able to get your landlord to use green practices?
  • Have you seen a film recently that you can share about the environment, alternative energy, or sustainable living?
  • Is there an environmental issue in the Dallas area that needs greater public awareness?

Focus/Philosophy

This site is about making green living accessible to everyone or *most* people. Articles should be reader-centic, targeting typical reader questions such as: How can I make my home or business more green? What can I do to affect a particular issue? Why is this issue important to me?

For example, an article about a solar addition that costs tens of thousands or more is fine if you're describing a business, but if you're describing an average residence, please keep it real. Someone with a $100k to $150k house is not going to spend $50k on a solar installation, especially when the average length of time that someone owns a specific home is 7 years. A description of how to install a $7-$15k starter system is more realistic.
